Bringing the Three-Body Universe to Life at SXSW

Working once again with our good friends at Kaleida, we had the honour of producing the stunning animated visuals for the massive 15m x 10m Holographic activation during SXSW festival in Austin. Our content paid tribute to the mind-bending world of the Netflix series ‘3 Body Problem’, based on the hit book series of the same name.

Festivalgoers were treated to an overwhelming experience, with our vividly realized animations engulfing them in the cosmic vistas and technologies depicted in the show. Stylized representations of strange suns, alien megastructures, and unraveling dimensions danced across the gigantic screen in breathtaking scale.

For many, this animated showcase was a highlight of their SXSW experience. It was our pleasure to transport fans to this unforgettable science fiction frontier.

Our team worked tirelessly to capture the essence of 3BP’s imaginative storytelling through dazzling motion graphics and visual effects. We studied the shows imagery and expanded upon it, crafting original content that plunged viewers deeper into the mysteries of the Trisolaran civilization.

Cutting-edge animation and compositing workflows allowed us to blend realistic 3D models with stylized effects and environmental renders. The resulting visuals seamlessly integrated live action footage with CG elements - bringing the Three-Body universe's most iconic moments to life.
